Thompson Du is a personal injury attorney who represents clients at every stage of their case—from pre-litigation investigation and negotiation through litigation, mediation, and trial. He is known for building trial-ready cases early, allowing him to secure strong pre-suit resolutions while remaining fully prepared to litigate when necessary.
Thompson has successfully handled cases from intake through verdict, serving as first-chair trial counsel in multiple matters and obtaining plaintiff’s verdicts. He has also secured six-figure recoveries, including cases initially viewed as low potential, through meticulous case development, strategic negotiation, and disciplined advocacy.
His practice includes personally handling hearings and mediations statewide, drafting and arguing dispositive and discovery motions, and developing record-supported briefing to defend trial-court rulings, including a response to a petition for writ of mandamus. Thompson litigates cases throughout Texas and is licensed to practice law in Texas and Oklahoma, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.

Thompson was recognized among the Top 100 Personal Injury Verdicts in Texas (2024) and was selected as a CLE panelist for the Dallas Bar Association, where he talked about mediation strategy. He has developed a strong referral-based practice, earning the trust of attorneys and professionals who rely on him to manage cases efficiently and drive results.

Before joining Fielding Law, Thompson practiced as a personal injury attorney at a prominent Texas firm, where he handled both pre-litigation and litigation matters, resolved cases, tried cases as first chair, and trained and supervised junior attorneys. He also gained valuable prosecutorial perspective as a post-bar intern with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office.

Thompson earned his Juris Doctor from the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law, graduating Top 5% of his class, and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas, graduating Summa Cum Laude.
He is a member of the Dallas Asian American Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Texas Bar College.

Outside of work, Thompson enjoys playing league and pickup basketball, working out, and spending time with his wife and their two dogs, Clyde and Ralph.
